Ex-Chiefs and Sundowns star joins Cape Town City

Cape Town City FC has bolstered its squad with the high-profile signing of experienced midfielder Keagan Dolly, signaling its intent to secure a quick return to the Betway Premiership.

The veteran playmaker joins the club on a free transfer, having recently concluded a short-term contract with TS Galaxy.

Dolly’s arrival is part of a broader recruitment drive by the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, which has also brought in Sifiso Ngobeni, Njabulo Ngcobo, Mickey van der Hart, and Simon van Duivenbooden.

The club’s ambition is further highlighted by the recall of captain Lorenzo Gordinho and the new long-term deal for goalkeeper Luca Diana-Oliaro.

At 32, Dolly brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having played for both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. His recent form with TS Galaxy saw him make 20 appearances and score three goals. Dolly also recently participated in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with Bafana Bafana.
