Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has praised Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi for his decisive moment that helped Fulham to cruise to a comfortable 3-1 Premier League victory against Brentford at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The former Arsenal player proved vital for the Cotaggers after he scored one and set up the other to help see off the Bees. After Fulham going down, Iwobi scored to level matters.

Iwobi later turned provider, after his superb cross found Harry Wilson to slot home and make it 2-1. Fulham’s third came from an own goal as they registered their second win of the campaign.
Reacting to Iwobi’s pass, Berbatov told Premier League Productions: “From the moment the ball reached Iwobi’s feet—what a pass, unbelievable. A world-class pass, and the finish was on the same level
“To connect with the ball in such a way that you guide it calmly and precisely into the corner, with finesse and technique, is extremely difficult. That’s what made the goal perfect—the pass and the finish together.”
Reacting to the same cross, England manager Glenn Hoddle said: “This is a beautiful pass, it really is. The defenders go with Muniz, he’s seen it, there’s a hole there, a gap to Wilson and what a finish, he’s just kept his balance.
“Lovely ball from Iwobi. He’s probably playing the best football of his career at the moment. But that is just a beautiful pass into the corner.”
Iwobi has so far featured in five Premier League matches, scored one goal and provided one assist.
