Former South Africa’s PSL stars Khama Billiat and Walter Musona have been nominated for the just-ended 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s Soccer Star-of-the-Year Award in Zimbabwe.

Billiat, who has recaptured his spark at Yadah FC in Zimbabwe after exiting Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa, will compete for the award alongside the ex-Polokwane City striker Musona and eight others.

Musona is looking to retain the accolade he claimed in 2022.

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League has released the 11-member shortlist ahead of the awards gala in Harare on December 6, 2024.

The other nominees are Donovan Bernard, Blessing Moyo, Emmanuel Jalai, Kingsley Mureremba, Lynoth Chikuhwa, Isheanesu Mauchi, Godknows Murwira, Tymon Machope and Webster Tafa. Coaches, journalists and players selected the finalists.

Chikuhwa has already secured the Golden Boot Award after finishing the season with 17 league goals for Highlanders FC, four goals ahead of his closest pursuer Billiat. Simba Bhora won the league championship
