The defensive midfielder joins the two-time Swiss Super League winners on a loan deal from French Ligue 1 outfit Nantes. Diack will strengthen an area of the field that coach Didier Tholot has described as the “weak point” of the Sion squad.

The 24-year-old, who is under contract with Nantes, had already been loaned out last season to Hatayspor in the Turkish Süper Lig and Colorado Rapids in the Major League Soccer.

He has two caps with the Senegal U-20 and has previously played for Turkish sides Ankaragucu and Tuzlaspor. He moved to Macedonia club Shkupi from Senegal Oslo Football Academy to begin his European adventure in 2019.
