Former Accra Lions attacker Ezekiel Alladoh was on the score sheet as his club, IF Brommapojkarna, squeezed a 3-2 victory over Varnamo in the Swedish Allsvenskan League on Sunday.
The Bromma based club left nothing to chance when Alex Timossi Andersson fired them into the lead from inside the penalty area on the 27th minute mark. The home side continued their onslaught throughout the first half with Ezekiel Alladoh coming close but his tap went a fraction off the post to still keep the game at 1-0 for the home side.
Five minutes into the second half, perfect teamwork culminating in a well lobbed cross from the right side of the field placed Alladoh in a firm position to slot home the second goal with a powerful left footed strike. Varnamo however came out of their shells in search of goal which finally paid off on the 60th where Frank Junior Adjei pulled one back for the visitors.
The former Gold Stars midfielder fired in from outside the goal area to peg the game at 2-1. With 83 minutes played at the Grimsta IP, Simon Thern swept in a sweet free kick to level the game, giving Varnamo hopes of clinching an away point.
The visitors’ dream of clawing a point was quickly dashed when Danish center-back Kaare Barslund notched Brommapojkarna’s winner in added time from close range. The 3-2 victory for “the Bromma boys” shoots them into 8th on the league table with 6 points from four league matches this season with Varnamo rooted at the bottom of the 16 club league with no points.
Alladoh has now scored two goals in four matches since joining the club in January this year from Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions and Frank Adjei has netted once in four games for Varnamo, who he joined three seasons ago from current Ghana league leaders Gold Stars.
