Fadlu Davids, who returned to Raja in 2025 after previously serving as an assistant between 2023-2024, expressed delight in the club’s big win.
“The three points was very important today, the three goals [and] clean sheet [and] I don’t think we had any major problem, it was shot on target for them to score,” Fadlu Davids told Raja CA’s media outlet.
Raja made some key signings during the transfer window including Besar Halimi, Bella Moussa, Khalid Kbiri Alaoui, Shararh, Moses Orkuma, Bilal Ould-Chikh, Yasser Balde and Benaissa Benamar.
Fadlu Davids shared his thoughts on how the new players will integrate into the team to form a united piece.
“Of course this is a new beginning, it’s a moment where the mercato [transfer window] is closed and our players are in so we can now focus on getting to understand each other with the ball and without the ball and this we have to develop with time.
“Of course while we are developing this non-verbal communication we need results [which] is very important but of course today we played a match with many of the players new so of course it’s difficult to understand the positioning with and without the ball but Insha Allah while they understand we can mold a unit with or without the ball [and] Insha Allah it’s very positive for the future.”
Davids, 44, has steered Raja CA into third on the league table with 19 points from nine league games. His previous works include stints at Simba, Maritzburg United with assistant coaching roles at Bloemfontein Celtic, FC Lokomotiv Moscow and Chippa United.
