Nigeria Falconets begin training for second leg of FIFA 2026 U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier

Nigerian U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have ramped up preparations for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup second round, second leg qualifying match which is scheduled to hold on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

The Falconets who arrived at Ibadan on Tuesday had their first training in anticipation of their crucial clash against Rwanda.

Nigeria secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rwanda first leg qualifying match at the Kigali-Pele Stadium, Kigali on Sunday.

Both teams fought hard on but there was no breakthrough for either side in a gritty first 45 minutes. With The decisive moment arriving in the 70th minute through forward Alaba Olabiyi goal.
