Veteran Senegal international Famara Diedhiou’s high level performance for Clermont Foot has earned him nomination for Player-of-the-Month of February in the French Ligue 2.
The 33-year-old had a fantastic outing in the month of February having scored seven goals in four Ligue 2 matches for Clermont Foot.

The former Granada striker netted a hat trick and a brace in February marking him among the three nominees for the UNFP Player of the Month award for the French D2 Championship.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations winner is competing against Moroccan Tawfik Bentayeb (Troyes) and Georgian Zuriko Davitashvili (Saint-Etienne) for the coveted award in the French second tier.
The team captain, formerly of Bristol City and Angers, has helped Clermont get back on track in the relegation battle as Clermont Foot currently sit in 14th in Ligue 2 with 28 points, eight points above the relegation zone.
Famara Diedhiou who is capped 27 times by Senegal was a member of the squad that won the Teranga Lions’ first Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in 2021.
He has made 16 appearances with two assists and has scored an impressive 10 goals for Clermont Foot this season.
