Uganda Cranes star Farouk Miya has found a new chapter in his football journey after completing a move to Greek second-tier side GS Ilioupolis, Pan African Football can reliably confirm.
The attacking midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the Super League Greece 2 club, keeping him at the Ilioupoli Municipal Stadium until 2027.
Miya has been without a club since parting ways with Turkish outfit Çaykur Rizespor, but the 26-year-old now looks set to revive his career in Greece.
The former Vipers SC talisman brings vast experience to his new club, having previously featured for several clubs across Europe. His resume includes stints with Standard Liège and Royal Excel Mouscron in Belgium, Səbail FK in Azerbaijan, HNK Gorica in Croatia, Konyaspor in Turkey, and FC Lviv in Ukraine.
GS Ilioupolis is a historic multi-sport club based in the suburb of Ilioupoli, Athens. Founded in 1953, the club currently plays in the Super League Greece 2, the second division of Greek football.
