After Bobby De Cordova-Reid opened the scoring for the Foxes, Fatawu produced another moment of magic to double the hosts’ advantage just before halftime. After intercepting a pass close to his own penalty area, the Ghana national team starlet burst past two defenders before attempting a bold strike that caught Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton completely off-guard.

It was a stunning goal and a fatal blow to Ipswich’s chances. The visitors had played a decent first half but conceding just before halftime proved to be too much for them to overcome.

Early in the second half, Ayew put Ipswich out of their misery in the 52nd minute. Ricardo Ferreira crossed for the former Crystal Palace forward to finish first-time for a scrappy goal.

The Foxes have been victims of inconsistent form this season but they move up to 8th place on the Championship table with the result. Fatawu now has 4 goals and 6 assists in 21 league appearances while Ayew has 4 goals and an assist through 19 matches.
