Fatawu Issahaku: Injured Ghana star rallies support ahead of World Cup qualifiers

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers returns with tough encounters for African countries vying for slots in Mexico, Canada and USA next year.


Injured Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has appealed to Ghanaian football fans to support the team ahead of the the two games against Chad and Madagascar.


Ghana will take on Chad and Madagascar in the Match day five and six games of the qualifiers later this month. The senior national team are hoping to turn around their fortunes after failing to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for the first time in two decades.


Ahead of the games, the Leicester City forward has emphasized the importance of home support.


"We need your support, and we are ready to fight for the nation as always, but we still need your support to get the victory, and we hope to see you all in the stadium," he urged.


The Black Stars will face Chad on Friday, March 21, at 19:00 GMT before travelling to Morocco to take on Madagascar at the Grand Stade d'Al Hoceima on Monday, March 24.
