Ghana defender Patric Pfeiffer has received massive praises from the head coach of new club, FC Magdeburg, Christian Titz following his move to the club.
Pfeiffer, 25, has joined Magdeburg from FC Augsburg for the remainder of the season after a loan stint at Swiss club BSC Young Boys. The Ghanaian center-back struggled to command a regular shirt at the Swiss side, prompting his move to the Bundesliga 2.
Titz, who worked with Pfeiffer during their time together at Hamburg, expressed confidence in his new player’s abilities.
"I’m happy to have Patric on board," Titz said. "He is a complete centre-back with great abilities and a strong physical presence."
Pfeiffer, who signed for Augsburg last summer, previously played a key role in helping another German club, SV Darmstadt 98 to qualify to the Bundesliga.
His experience and defensive qualities are expected to strengthen Magdeburg's backline as they aim for a strong finish in the 2. Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old who is yet to be capped by the Ghana national team after switching allegiance from Germany, will wear the number 3 jersey for his new club and hopes to contribute immediately.
