Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe are reportedly preparing an opening bid for Nigeria international and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman in the January transfer window.
According to Sport Mediaset, Fenerbahçe is proposing a loan deal worth €5m with an obligation to buy for €37m. While Atalanta is open to selling Lookman, the Italian side would reportedly prefer a permanent transfer over a loan arrangement.
Lookman previously pushed for a move to Inter Milan during the 2025 summer transfer window; however, the Nerazzurri refused to meet Atalanta’s asking price, and the player remained in Bergamo.
Talks between Fenerbahçe and Atalanta are still in the early stages, with Galatasaray also credited with an interest in the former African player of the year.
The forward is currently in Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Super Eagles, where he has been in sensational form, recording three goals and four assists in just three games.
