FIFA president congratulates Pyramids FC on CAF Champions League triumph

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has officially congratulated Pyramids FC for winning the 2024–25 CAF Champions League, recognising the club’s historic continental achievement.

In a letter sent to the club's President and CEO, Mr. Mamdouh Eid, Infantino passed compliments to all those who have contributed to this result and confirmed that Pyramids FC has secured qualification for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup.

He also thanked the club for the dedication for the development of football around the world. Below is the full message from Infantino:

Dear President,

On Sunday 1 June, Pyramids FC won the 2024-25 CAF Champions League, and I would like to reiterate my sincerest congratulations for this historical achievement for the club, and for the qualification to the FIFA Club World Cup 2029!

By means of this letter, I would also like to pass on my compliments to all those who have contributed to this result, the players, the head coach, but also the technical and medical team and, of course, the fans.

Such achievement is no doubt based on hard work, professionalism and attention to detail, as well as passion and love of the game. All this augurs well for a very promising future and will undoubtedly pave the way for future success.

While thanking you and your club for your continuous support, work, and dedication for the development of football in your country and around the world, I look forward, dear President, to seeing you very soon again.
