Finally, Zizo undergoes investigation at Zamalek headquarters

Finally, Ahmed Mostafa “Zizo,” the player for the Egyptian club Zamalek, underwent an investigation and hearing today, Saturday, regarding the grievance he filed against the disciplinary sanctions imposed on him by the club’s board of directors, in accordance with the regulations.

The sanctions were imposed for his absence from training and matches for nearly a month, in addition to other violations committed by the player.

The player was investigated according to the date set by the club.

Previously, Zizo missed the club’s internal investigation session for the third time in a row before coming back to training sessions 6 days ago.

The tension involving Zizo and Zamalek began when the club discovered that the player had signed contracts related to arch-rivals Al Ahly, in preparation for a move next season after the expiration of his current deal with Zamalek.

For this reason, the player was initially excluded from the second leg of Zamalek’s CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal match against Stellenbosch on April 9.

Since then, Zizo has not participated in team training from April 10 until May 3, having completely cut off from sessions at the club.

The Egyptian international had filed a complaint with the Players’ Affairs Committee at the Egyptian Football Association against his club’s board of directors.

Zizo accused Zamalek officials of instructing club employees to remove his images from the walls inside the club premises, tear them apart, and trample on them.
