Financial struggles push Étoile du Sahel to seek fan support

Étoile Sportive du Sahel has begun a funding campaign to curb their financial woes. The Sousse-based club has been struggling financially and is seeking support from fans and former players.

According to Tunisian daily La Presse, in a campaign dubbed "Mission Possible," the club kick-started a fundraising effort. The club confirmed that, so far, 480 contributors have supported them financially.

The 11-time Tunisian champions announced that more than 31,000 Tunisian Dinars (approximately 10,488 USD) have been collected from well-wishers. The club has also called for additional support from fans and former players as they plan to recover from their financial difficulties.

Club Africain also launched a similar funding campaign last month, as clubs in the North African nation continue to face financial challenges.

Étoile du Sahel ended the season in third place with 61 points, securing their spot in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
