Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru came off the bench to score as Lazio humiliated Monza 5-1 in a Serie A fixture at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Adam Marusic opened the floodgate of goals for Lazio in the 31st minute for a 1-0 lead at the half-time break. Second half substitute Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma doubled Lazio’s lead in 57th minute before Valentin Castellanos made it 3-0 in the 63rd minute.

Pedro then scored the fourth but his second of the day in the 77th minute but Stefano Sensi made sure Lazio did not keep a clean sheet after he scored from the penalty spot in the 86th minute for Monza.

Fisayo-Dele Bashiru was introduced in the 85th minute and it took him three minutes on the pitch to round off the emphatic win with a well-taken effort.

Dele-Bashiru, who joined the Italian side on loan with an obligation to buy, has now scored three goals from 15 matches but his yet to provide an assist.
