Fisayo Dele-Bashiru assist helps Italian Serie A club Lazio secure their place in the Coppa Italia semi-finalswith a penalty shootout victory over Bologna.
The 25-year-old made a telling impact in his first start since returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.

He played a key role in Lazio’s equaliser during a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Bologna had taken the lead in the 30th minute when Santiago Castro headed home to put the hosts in front.
However, in the 48th minute, Dele-Bashiru surged forward down the flank after receiving a pass from Adam Marusic. Under pressure, he delivered a low cross into the area, which Tijjani Noslin met calmly to level the score at 1-1.
With neither side able to find a winner in normal time, the contest was settled by penalties. Lazio converted allfour of their spot-kicks, while Bologna scored only once and missed twice, sending the Biancocelesti into the last four.
Lazio will now face Atalanta in a two-legged semi-final. The first leg is scheduled for March 4th, with Atalanta hosting before the return fixture at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
