FKF forms seven-member Transition Ad Hoc Committee to guide them through critical phase

The newly elected Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed the formation of a seven-member Transition Ad Hoc Committee to guide the federation during this critical phase.


A statement from FKF obtained by Pan-Africa Football confirmed: “Following deliberations by the National Executive Council (NEC) on December, the committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of establishing robust governance structures and ensuring a seamless transition for the federation.”


According to the statement, the committee will be chaired by FKF Vice-President McDonald Mariga, with Women Representative Kerubo Momanyi serving as the Deputy Chairperson while Upper Rift FKF Branch NEC Member Bernard Lagat will serve as Secretary.


Other members include; Eastern NEC Member Charles Njoka Njagi, Central NEC Member Robert Macharia, North Eastern NEC Member Ahmedqadar Mohammed Dabar and Lower Rift NEC Member Peter “Kass Kass” Kamau.


Part of the committees' mandate will include ensuring that the essential functions, systems, and processes of FKF are maintained during the transition to avoid any disruptions, uphold FKF’s transparency, credibility, and commitment to its mandate throughout the handover process and equip the newly elected National Executive Committee with the knowledge, tools, and understanding of the federation’s current status to effectively manage its affairs.


The other roles include to strengthen the administrative, technical, and strategic capabilities of FKF to ensure sustainable growth and long-term success, conduct a comprehensive audit focusing on finance and human resources to enhance accountability and transparency.
