Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League champions Kenya Police FC will kick off the title defence with a fixture against Mara Sugar on September 21st.
The law enforcers under Burundian coach Etienne Ndayiragije, denied Gor Mahia a third consecutive title after winning the crown with two matches to spare.
They will now face another difficult campaign to keep the title against a Gor Mahia side, who will open their campaign against Bidco United. In other matches, Tusker will confront KCB, while rejuvenated AFC Leopards will come up against Sofapaka.
For Gor Mahia, they will be under new coach Charles Akonnor, who was appointed in August, after the club sacked the entire bench led by Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno and Michael Nam after going the entire campaign without silverware.
Meanwhile, Shabana who came close to winning the title last season, will take on promoted side APS Bomet, while another promoted side Nairobi United will play away in their opener against Kakamega Homeboyz.
