Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic has revealed their target of concluding the season with a double – the FKF Premier League and domestic Cup trophies.

The record Kenyan champions are currently in the semi-finals of the FKF Cup after beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 in the quarters, and they are lying third on the top-flight table. K’Ogalo are five points behind leaders Kenya Police, and two behind second-placed Tusker with one game in hand.

Ahead of their league fixture against Nairobi City Stars on Tuesday, the Croat tactician has stressed the importance of winning their remaining matches insisting their target is to finish the season with two trophies.

“We will be ready for that game (against City Stars) for sure, and we expect to win this game, and all the remaining games, we want to get double, right, Cup and league, and everything is good, everything is in pretty good level,” Mihic told Pan-Africa Football.

“We have managed the energy of the players, so they are not tired, and I am happy to see some of the players, who have not been in the squad coming back strongly, so I think we want to have the best month, the five matches we have to show our ambitions, and I am sure we will show the best performance.”

After City Stars, Gor Mahia’s remaining matches will see them face Murang’a Seal, Ulinzi Stars, Kenya Police and the yet to be played Mashemeji derby against rivals AFC Leopards.
