Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has come out to state that the club will end the issues that have affected their technical bench in recent weeks.

K’Ogalo’s technical bench has not been reading the same book with head coach Sinisa Mihic blaming his deputies – Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno and Michael Nam – of sabotaging his work.

“Today, I am here, first of all, to talk to the players, to give them assurances that we are going to address all these issues that appear to be arising from some friction on the bench,” said Rachier via Gor Mahia Media. “So I've already addressed both the bench and the players together, calling for unity between them so that we can win our trophies as necessary.

“Following that also, I have addressed the players individually, separately, talking about the need for discipline and, particularly, respect for authority so that even if they may think that their superiors are wrong in any way, they should just concentrate on playing football. That was the gist of my message to them.”

Rachier concluded: “I have called for a full executive committee meeting with the entire technical bench so that I can find out where the blame lies and also urge them on the need to act in unison so that we achieve our goal. That meeting is pending because only two of us were available today. The others have been away for different reasons.”

Following their 1-1 draw against Sofapaka, Gor Mahia remained third on the 18-team table with 47 points from 26 matches. They will next face FC Talanta in a rescheduled fixture on Thursday.
