It was a nostalgic night for Kaizer Chiefs supporters as two of their former frontmen, Ranga Chivaviro and Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, stole the spotlight in a pulsating 2-2 draw between Al Adalah and Jeddah SC in the Saudi First Division.

The encounter on Thursday lived up to its billing, delivering high drama that began just before the interval when Mohammed Al-Saiari’s penalty put Jeddah ahead, only for Joshua Mutale to level the scores for Al Adalah just minutes later.

The second half belonged to the former Amakhosi duo; the 33-year-old Chivaviro continued his blistering run of form by netting in the 57th minute—his eighth goal in nine outings—to put the home side in the driving seat.

Chivaviro, who joined Al Adalah on a free transfer in September 2025, is now remarkably just three goals shy of matching his entire scoring record from his two-season stint at Naturena.

However, 28-year-old Bimenyimana, who has been a footballing nomad since leaving South Africa with stops in Libya, Iran, and Algeria, ensured he had the final word. In the 98th minute of play, the Burundian international rose highest to head home a dramatic equaliser, marking his fifth goal of the campaign and snatching a share of the spoils for Jeddah SC.

Both marksmen will look to carry this momentum into their next fixtures on Wednesday, February 25, as Chivaviro travels to Al Zulfi while Bimenyimana prepares to host Al Diriyah.
