Former South Africa’s Lamontville Golden Arrows striker Moyela Libamba has found a new home in Zambia.
The 31-year-old has signed for Red Arrows. The former Zambia MTN Super League champions confirmed the capture of Libamba on a three-year contract.
Red Arrows have since praised the striker as a highly-rated topman “whose tenacity and vision are expected to inject fresh dynamism into the heart of our play.”
Libamba signed for Golden Arrows in 2024 but hardly impressed, scoring just once in a handful of games before he returned home.
He previously played for Zambian top teams such as Forest Rangers. The striker has since shown glimpses of his old self after scoring in the 2-1 win over River Plate FC in a friendly last week.
Libamba is among Red Arrows’ new batch of arrivals that include Jonathan Mada Nkoy from FC Renaissance of Congo DR, Richard Daka formerly of Atletico Lusaka FC, Ricky Banda from Al Merrikh SC and Albert Kangwanda joins from Al Hilal SC.
The 2024 Super League champions have since spoken highly of their new catches saying they hope they would inject ‘renewed spirit and an unwavering commitment to our badge.”
Red Arrows would be eager to parade their new signings on the pitch when they face Los Angeles FC in a friendly on Saturday, 16 August 2025 at Nkoloma at 10h00.
