Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have secured the signature of veteran defender Emmanuel Ampiah ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Hunters signed the 33-year-old left-back to bolster their backline for next season’s demanding premier league and FA Cup fixtures.
The club took to their social media handle to announce the signing of the former Elmina Sharks defender.
“We are thrilled to welcome EMMANUEL AMPIAH, the experienced left back to the Hunters’ family! Ampiah has signed a two-year deal with us and is ready to bring his grit, stability and top-flight experience to the backline in the upcoming seasons,” wrote the club confirming his signing.
Ampiah is an experienced continental campaigner having previously played for Elmina Sharks before transferring to Nigeria’s Delta Force FC. He has played for top clubs like Rivers United and Enyimba but will now spend the next two seasons at Bechem United.
Ampiah becomes the club’s sixth signing of the window, joining Abdul Basit Mohammed, Frank Promise, Dennis Votere, Aminu Mohammed and Frank Amankwah.
The former FA Cup winners are currently preparing ahead of the new season under the leadership of new coach Stephen Desmond Issah Botchway. The Hunters begin their season with a game against champions Bibiani GoldStars.
