Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Tebogo Langerman has made a surprising comeback to professional football, signing with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka FC.

The 39-year-old veteran had been without a club since leaving Moroka Swallows in early 2022 and was most recently a player-coach for ABC Motsepe League side Sunrise FC.

Langerman’s return to the pro ranks was officially announced by Bakgakga on Thursday. The move sees the seven-time PSL champion join the Limpopo-based club as they fight for promotion back to the Betway Premiership. Baroka FC was relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2021/22 season.
