Italian club Fiorentina is interested in signing Ivorian Franck Kessié, who is coming off a succesfful season with Saudi club Al-Ahli SC.

According to Italian media reports, Fiorentina has entered into serious negotiations with Kessié to sign him this summer at the request of the team's new coach, Stefano Pioli. The Fiorentina coach is keen to coach Kessié again after their encounter at AC Milan several years ago and their subsequent league title victory.

Kessié left AC Milan for Barcelona and then for Al-Ahli, with whom he won the AFC Champions League title. Pioli left AC Milan and joined the Saudi club Al-Nassr before returning to Fiorentina.

Kessié has played 77 matches for Al-Ahli, scoring 14 goals and providing 9 assists. His contract with Al-Ahli runs until the summer of 2026.
