Eight Games! Franculino extends scoring streak again in Midtjylland win

The sensational form of Guinea-Bissau national team and FC Midtjylland forward Franculino Djú continued on Sunday with another goal in FCM’s 2-0 victory at Randers FC in the Danish Superliga.

Franculino has now scored in eight consecutive matches for FCM, drawing praise from around the world on social media as he continues to position himself for a big money move. The 21-year-old opened the scoring in the 49th minute after an excellent run and assist from Aral Simsir.

Less than three minutes later, Simsir set up another goal for the visitors to double their advantage through Ecuador international Denil Castillo.

FCM have not lost a match since mid-September when they fell 0-1 to FC Nordsjaelland. The club are now top of the Superliga after previous leaders Aarhus fell to a defeat on Sunday.

Franculino maintained his average of one goal per match in Superliga action. He now has 14 goals in 14 league matches with totals of 19 goals in 26 matches across all competitions along with 4 assists. Earlier this week, the Bissau-Guinean scored to help FCM move to the top of the table in the UEFA Europa League main phase with a dominant 3-1 victory over Celtic FC.

The former Benfica youth product will be in action for Guinea-Bissau over the upcoming international break when Os Djurtus clash with fellow Lusophone nation Angola in a friendly match on November 18.
