FC Midtjylland and Guinea-Bissau national team striker Franculino Djú maintained his unstoppable form in Denmark’s Superliga on Sunday as he scored yet again in Midtjylland’s 2-0 victory at Vejle.
The SL Benfica youth product has now scored in all four league games he’s played in for Midtjylland this season, contributing 7 goals and 2 assists to lead the Danish top division goal chart. Franculino’s opener arrived in hte 76th minute before Dario Osorio, who assisted the first goal, completed the victory late on for the visitors.
The 21-year-old is off to a brilliant start after two bright seasons to start his time in Denmark with eleven goals in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns. Midtjylland, who finished runners-up last season after winning the 2023-24 crown, are in third place on nine points from five games behind FC Copenhagen and Brondby.
It is only a matter of time before Franculino makes the move to a bigger league. He has also added a goal in Midtjylland’s ongoing UEFA Europa League campaign. The Danish club will face Finnish club KuPS in the first leg of their playoff clash from the final round of qualifying for the Europa League on Thursday at home.
