Ghana winger, Brandon Thomas-Asante courted massive praise from Coventry City manager Frank Lampard with the former England midfielder stating that the speedster is doing everything right on the field of play.
Thomas-Asante played a key role in Coventry’s 2-0 win over Swansea City in the English Championship on Saturday.
The Ghanaian forward assisted Ellis Simms' opener in the 17th minute before sealing the victory with a goal with minutes before halftime.
His overall performance earned praise from Lampard, who highlighted his work ethic and growing influence in the club.
“I’m really happy for him and these things come off the back of doing all the right things, all the right hold-ups and all the right runs, but that was something outstanding.
“You have to work for confidence, and you have to work to keep it and that’s where we’re at as a team and Brandon individually and there’s players throughout the team that are playing like that at the moment."
Thomas-Asante has now recorded three goals and one assist in his last four Championship appearances, solidifying his importance to Coventry City’s campaign. Coventry have won all four of those matches and are now only four points outside of the playoff promotion spots in the English second tier, sitting in 11th position.
