Frank Onyeka set for Brentford return after successful loan spell at Augsburg

Bundesliga club FC Augsburg have bid farewell to Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka following the completion of his loan deal with the club.

Onyeka joined Jess Thorup’s side on a straight loan deal with no option to buy from Premier League club, Brentford, last summer. The 27-year-old played his last game for Augsburg against Union Berlin last weekend.

Through their X account the German side thanked the defensive midfielder for a wonderful season hotel.

“Thank you, Frank! Frank #Onyeka’s loan is coming to an end, and we thank you for your commitment to the Red-Green-Whites,”

The Nigerian made a total of 36 total appearances for the club with thirty appearances in the Bundesliga and three in the DFB-Pokal.
