Fredrick Alushula: AFC Leopards defender undergoes knee surgery

AFC Leopards defender Fredrick Alushula has undergone successful surgery after tearing the cushioning cartilage in both the inner and outer parts of his knee during the FKF Cup clash against Mara Sugar.


A statement from the FKF Premier League club confirmed: “Fredrick Alushula underwent a successful surgery yesterday to repair his torn lateral and medial menisci. He is set to be sidelined for six months as he recovers and undergoes rehabilitation.


“Alushula suffered the medial and lateral tear on his meniscus in our FKF Cup round of 16 match against Mara Sugar FC at Kenyatta Stadium, Mamboleo.”


He will miss Ingwe’s remaining two matches in the league against FC Talanta and KCB.
