FUFA announces Uganda Cranes 41-man provisional squad for 2024 CHAN

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced the Uganda Cranes' 41-man provisional squad ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The tournament, featuring national teams made up of domestic-based players, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania starting August 2.
The Uganda Cranes will be led by coaches Fred Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso, with the squad consisting solely of players from the Uganda Premier League.
Preparation for the tournament will begin with non-residential training sessions on Monday, June 23. The sessions will be held daily at 9 am at the Prisons Ground in Luzira, where the technical team will start to shape the team.
With the CHAN tournament offering a unique platform for showcasing local football talent, this squad selection marks a pivotal moment for many aspiring players aiming to shine at continental level.
