The FUFA Electoral Committee has officially opened the nomination process for the office of FUFA President and the Executive Committee for the 2025–2029 term.
This follows the successful completion of elections at the levels of Regional Football Associations, the FUFA Big League, National Women’s Leagues, and Special Interest Groups. The elections for FUFA President and Executive Committee members will culminate at the Elective General Assembly scheduled for 5th July 2025 in Hoima City.
The entire process will be conducted in accordance with the FUFA Statutes, Electoral Code, official guidelines, and circulars. In line with Article 40(2) of the FUFA Statutes, the process begins with FUFA Members proposing their preferred presidential candidates no later than two months before the Assembly date.
A circular issued by the FUFA Electoral Committee, signed by Chairman Mathias Bwire, outlines the timeline and requirements for aspiring candidates. Interested individuals must submit their nominations by 24th May 2025 at 11:59 PM.
Submissions must include the following: Nomination letters from a 1st Division Club, a Special Interest Group, and a Regional Football Association A certified copy of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent A valid FAMACO II Certificate Proof of payment of the UGX 10,000,000 nomination fee A list of proposed Executive Committee members.
This marks a pivotal phase in the governance of Ugandan football, setting the tone for leadership and development over the next four-year cycle.
