FUFA has officially unveiled a brand new Uganda Cup trophy, setting the stage for a thrilling climax to the 2025 edition of the tournament.

The sleek new silverware will be up for grabs on Saturday night as two of Uganda’s footballing powerhouses, KCCA FC and Vipers SC, clash in a much-anticipated final under the floodlights at the new FUFA stadium in Kadiba.

The match will serve as a high-stakes rematch of the 2018 final. To reach this stage, KCCA FC powered past Kataka FC with a convincing 4-1 aggregate win in the semifinals, while Vipers SC showed their class by eliminating reigning champions Kitara FC 2-0 on aggregate. KCCA FC, joint record holders with ten Uganda Cup titles, are aiming to extend their dominance in the competition.

Meanwhile, Vipers SC, who are eyeing their fourth Uganda Cup title, are making their third appearance in the final in the last four seasons, an impressive show of consistency. Aside from domestic glory, the Uganda Cup winner also earns the right to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, should Vipers SC win the final, having already qualified for continental competition via the league, NEC FC, the league runners-up, will take up Uganda's slot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
