Fulham indicates intention to acquire Chukwueze permanently

Fulham are reportedly set to trigger the buy option in Samuel Chukwueze’s contract as they move to secure the Nigeria international on a permanent deal from Italian Serie A club AC Milan.

The 26-year-old winger joined the West London club on a season-long loan in September 2025. His impactful performances under manager Marco Silva have convinced the Craven Cottage hierarchy to exercise their purchase option before the current campaign concludes.

How much would Fulham pay?

The deal is expected to cost The Cottagers a fixed fee of €24 million (approximately £20 million), with performance-related add-ons potentially pushing the final figure towards €28 million. If the move is finalised as anticipated, Chukwueze is prepared to commit to a long-term contract that could keep him at the club until June 2030.

This transition marks a significant turning point for the forward, who struggled for consistent playing time and form during his tenure in Serie A with the Rossoneri. Since arriving in the Premier League, the Super Eagles star has revitalised his career, providing the directness and pace that Silva’s offensive system requires.

Chukwueze has recorded three goals and four assists in 17 league appearances. His standout moment of the season came in a high-profile encounter against Manchester City, where he netted a clinical brace that underscored his ability to perform against elite opposition.
