Fulham FC manager Marco Silva has expressed confidence that Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze could soon be part of the club’s starting lineup.
The Super Eagles forward has struggled to command a regular shirt with the Cottagers since his loan move from Italian powerhouse, AC Milan.
The former Villarreal winger has managed just three games and one assist all through substitute appearances with ten matches played so far in the English Premier League this campaign.
Ahead of Fulham’s away clash to Everton at Goodison Park, Marco Silva shared some words on the Nigerian star’s lack of game time.
“The moment [to start] will arrive for Samuel too. We’re feeling he can have an impact for us,” Marco Silva said.
“It was the moment for Kevin [to start on the left], to play [Alex] Iwobi more inside. Chukwueze can do it there, too.”
The Nigerian international has played 49 times for Nigeria, and he will look to keep a consistent form in order to keep a spot in coach Eric Chelle’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, USA and Mexico.
