Gabriel Osho set to join Cardiff City

Sky Bet Championship club Cardiff City is reportedly on the verge of completing the permanent signing of Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho from French side Auxerre.

The 27-year-old center-back has reportedly completed his medical and is expected to be announced as the Bluebirds’ first outfield signing of the summer transfer window within the next 24 hours.

The Nigeria international’s return to England comes just a year after he departed Luton Town on a free transfer for Auxerre in Ligue 1. Osho is now set to return to the Sky Bet Championship, according to French news outlet L’Équipe.

During his time at Luton, he was instrumental in their promotion to the Premier League and featured in more than 20 top-flight matches.

The 27-year-old will become Cardiff City’s first outfield signing of the summer. The Bluebirds are desparate to add experience to their young squad and Osho, who has more than 150 senior games to his name, fits the bill.
