The 24-year-old joins from AS Monaco for a reported fee of €30 million as Galatasaray look to follow up a domestic double last season by making an impact in the UEFA Champions League. Singo joins another prominent African abroad, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, at a club that has spent well over €100 million to bolster their squad.
Singo, a physically imposing presence who can play either centrally or on the right side of the defense, is set to become a key component of the Gala defense. The AS Denguélé youth product continues to swiftly rise through the ranks of European club football after previously impressing at Monaco and his first club in Europe, Italian Serie A side Torino.
Galatasaray are already off to a hot start in domestic league play, winning their opening three Turkish Super Lig games without conceding while scoring ten goals. After conquering the Super Lig for the third consecutive season along with a Turkish Cup conquest during the 2024-25 season, now the objective is to show they can compete with Europe’s top clubs when they begin their participation in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League in mid-September.
Singo played in all seven games for the Ivory Coast team that won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in the country and will likely eclipse thirty appearances for his nation when the Elephants continue their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign in September. He made his debut for the senior national team in June 2021, playing the entire match in a 2-1 friendly victory over Burkina Faso.
Galatasaray next face Çaykur Rizespor in the Super Lig on Saturday where they will look to continue steamrolling domestic opposition.
