Galatasaray have reportedly identified Nigeria national team goalkeeper Maduka Okoye as a transfer target for the Turkish champions heading into the 2025/26 season.
Okoye, who left Watford for Udinese in August 2023, has become a regular fixture for the Italian side since arriving the club. Galatasaray sees the Nigerian as a long-term successor to Fernando Muslera.
The Nigeria International kept 5 clean sheets in 26 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side last season.
Galatasaray have reportedly already initiated contact with the Italian side to assess Okoye’s availability. The Nigerian is currently facing scrutiny, being accused of betting fraud in a Serie A fixture against Lazio on March 11, 2024. Italian outlet Calcio reports that Udinese have slapped a €15 million price tag on their goalkeeper.
Galatasaray are already on the brink of sealing a deal for Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen.
