Marumo Gallants FC has issued a direct response to Abdeslam Ouaddou's public announcement of his departure, stating that they have not received any formal communication or resignation notice from the Morrocan coach.

Ouaddou, who successfully saved Gallants from relegation in the Betway Premiership in his three-month tenure, publicly confirmed on Saturday, June 1, 2025, that he was "back in the market" and open to new proposals. He expressed gratitude to the club, players, and supporters for the opportunity.

However, in a media statement released on Monday - today, Gallants clarified the situation.

"Marumo Gallants Football Club wishes to clarify recent speculation concerning the status of Head Coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou," reads the club statement.

"The Club can confirm that it has not received any formal communication or notice of resignation from Coach Ouaddou. In light of this, we will not be making any further comments on the unverified reports currently in circulation."

The club concluded by thanking the media and supporters for their understanding and stated that they will share any official developments as they become available.

Ouaddou joined Gallants in March 2025, replacing Dan Malesela, and led the team in 12 matches, securing five wins, four draws, and three losses.
