In an interview with Accra based Radio Gold, Badu who won the FIFA U-20 World Cup IN 2009, revealed his ambitions for the “Fire Boys.”
“My first priority is for the club to get a lot of privileges outside, to get international attention, that is my first priority and second to get good quality players, if we get these we are good to go and that is what I am focusing on for now,” he said.
Aduana last won the Ghana Premier League in 2017 with their first title coming in 2010. They have one Super Cup in their cabinet, a trophy they lifted in 2018.
Badu says he is looking forward to helping the club add value to its franchise.
“Winning the league, placing third or going to Africa is a plus for you and builds an image for you so you brighten the image and get people to come and help us so that we can buy good players.
“And from there when you have good players and you have the infrastructure, what you are asking for will follow, so for now that is our ambition.”
Aduana are currently third on the Ghana Premier League table with 36 points same as Hearts of Oak and reigning champions GoldStars after 21 matches into the campaign.
They will next face Asante Kotoko in the round 16 of the MTN FA Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, February 7 before a week 22 fixture at home to new boys Hohoe United on February 13.
