Head coach of Heart of Lions Bashir Hayford says he is ready to lay down his tools if the club deems it fit to dispense with his service.
The Kpando-based club have struggled in the past games, going seven matches without a win in the current campaign, a situation that has prompted the fans to call for Bashir Hayford’s head.
The experienced trainer however is unfazed by any decision that could lead to his sack.
“It’s very sad, when a team plays seven matches and gets three points or less, it’s a failure,” Bashir Hayford.
Asked whether he feels his job is on the line after the poor performance in their last seven matches, the experienced trainer had this to say.
“I don’t know, if that is so, so be it,” Bashir Hayford said after the game.
Heart of Lions’ last victory was a 2-0 score line at the Kpando Stadium against Young Apostles in a week 10 fixture. They have since recorded three draws and four losses, clocking 24 points in 8th position on the league table.
