Ghana Premier League: Bashir Hayford gutted by Heart of Lions’ poor form

Head coach of Heart of Lions Bashir Hayford has expressed worry over the club’s poor run of form in the past Ghana Premier League games.

The Kpando based club have fallen on bad times recently, going eight games without a win under the experienced Bashir Hayford. Their woes were deepened when they suffered a 3-0 to Dreams fc in week 18 at the Tuba Astroturf last weekend.

Notwithstanding the setback, Bashir Hayford stresses the need to continually work hard to remedy the situation in the course of the season.

Heart of Lions have gone eight game without a win

Bashir Hayford said: “The adage says, once you have the head you continue to wear the cap, we will continue to work hard.

“I take it to be football. We have lost about three or four matches on the trot [and] that is my worry and everywhere we go and we play everybody will see that we are playing football but at the end of it all we lose, it’s a worry.”

Heart of Lions have recorded five losses and three draws, accumulating 24 points sitting in 8th position after 18 matches into the season.
