Bechem United will look to rally from their humiliating 6-0 defeat against Asante Kotoko as they welcome Berekum Chelsea for the week 17 Ghana Premier League fixture.
The Hunters will host the former champions in an epic derby at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday and head coach of Bechem United, Kobina Amissah has addressed the heavy loss against Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of their fixture against Berekum Chelsea.
“It’s unfortunate we conceded six goals. I think the performance was encouraging. We saw some good passes and movement. In the first 15 minutes, we got some chances, and we should have scored.
“But that’s football, if you don’t take your chance and the opponent takes their chance, you will be in trouble. The score line was bad, but the performance was not bad,” Kobina Amissah told Bechem United TV.
Ahead of their week 17 fixture against Berekum Chelsea, Kobina Amissah remained confident that, his charges will give their best.
“The boys are trying to get back to their winning mentality. So on Sunday, it will be a different game against Berekum Chelsea. We want to make the supporters happy by winning that particular match. “Our highest goals in a match have been two. We need to work on scoring more. We want our players to be disciplined on the field. If they are disciplined, things will be better.”
Bechem United are currently occupying the 17th spot with 16 points from 16 games and they need the win to jump out of the relegation zone. The Week 17 fixture between Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea will be played on Sunday, January 4.
