Coach Didi Dramani admits that, the opening games have been tough but indicates that, the team still needs to improve on the performance.
“Every game is very tough because all the clubs are in the Premiership and you can expect that it’s an early season fixture and every team is still very strong and then every team tries to consolidate what they have,” Didi Dramani said.
“I think that there is still more to improve [and] I have always said we have to remain consistent and we have to remain very sustainable. It’s still early days yet, we still have to improve as individual players and as a team.”
Head coach of Berekum Chelsea, Samuel Boadu was left distraught after losing at home.
“It was really bad as you can see during the first half we created a lot of chances [but] we squandered all the chances and in the second half we had chances but we couldn’t score,” Samuel Boadu said.
“The most unfortunate thing was when our goalkeeper was given the red card because by then we had exhausted our substitution so there was nothing we could do.
Berekum Chelsea were reduced to ten men when their goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi, formerly of Hearts of Oak was shown a red card in the 86th minute with another former Hearts of Oak player, defender Michael Awuah stepping up to keep the post.
Hearts of Oak now have twelve points, one behind leaders Medeama SC with Berekum Chelsea on four points in six league matches this campaign.
