Ghana Premier League: Dreams FC announce return of experienced John Antwi

Ghana Premier League side, Dreams fc have announced the return of veteran striker, John Antwi for the ongoing campaign.

Antwi, rejoins the Still Believe Boys to help their ailing attack which has managed just a goal in their first three matches of the 2025/26 top flight campaign.

The former Sekondi Eleven Wise attacker was a pillar in Dreams FC’s historic CAF Confederation Cup run in 2023 where they suffered a semifinal elimination against Egypt giants, Zamalek.

The 33-year-old will fill the void created by the departure of Aziz Musibau. A short statement on Dreams fc’s social media handles read: “The King of goals is back! John Antwi returns home to Dreams FC, and he’s back in his iconic No.11 shirt!”.

John Antwi previously played for Egypt giants Al Ahly

Antwi has gathered enormous experience on the continent, having played most of his career in North Africa for Egypt powerhouse Al Ahly, Misr El-Makasa Ismaily,El Gaish and Pyramids.

He previously played for Al Shabab and Jordanian club Al Faisaly before returning home to play for Dreams fc in 2023. He last played for Libyan outfit Murooj after leaving Dreams FC last season. The two-times capped Ghana international will be wearing the Dreams FC jersey for the third time.

Dreams fc have lost all three opening matches of the Ghana Premier League, managing to score just a goal in a 2-1 loss away to Young Apostles.
