Head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford has reacted to their impressive victory at home to strugglers Holy Stars at home in week seven on Saturday.
The Kpando based club had suffered a 3-1 loss in week six and they needed to redeem their image, producing a fine finish against Holy Stars to go on 14 points from seven games.
A goal each by Kwadwo Obeng Junior and Michael Ephson secured a 2-0 first half lead before Anthony Owusu iced the cake with the third in the 88thminute to claim all three points.
Bashir Hayford said: “The boys had to comeback, recover from their shells and then we surged forward, we took six matches and we have played the six matches and the next six matches starts from today and then after that we will tackle the last six which is getting to eighteen matches,” Bashir Hayford said.
“So we are on course and this is the first for the next six matches and so we are on course.”
Heart of Lions posted an impressive campaign last season where they finished second to Gold Stars at the end of the campaign and coach Bashir Hayford will look to do better by winning the Ghana Premier League.
