Head coach of Hearts of Oak Mas Udu Didi Dramani has stressed the need to work on the club’s goal scoring ability ahead of their week 8 Ghana Premier League fixture away to Basake Holy Stars on Sunday.
The record Ghana FA Cup holders are yet to taste defeat but have equally struggled to grind more wins on the road this campaign.
The 2000 CAF Champions League winners have collected three wins, four draws and no defeat with the club’s supporters asking questions about the strikers’ scoring rate.
Ahead of the trip to Holy Stars, coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani admits that, the technical team is concerned about goal scoring, a flaw they have to work on.
“An area where we continue to work on is our chances creation. We want to be more consistent with it and also try to make the right decisions in the decisive moments of the game.
“We always respect their ability to play strongly. We are trying as much as possible to consolidate our ability to create better chances and to be more clinical. We will be cautious but try to consolidate our strengths and keep our identity and direction,” Didi Dramani told Hearts TV in his pre-match interview.
Central defender of the club, Godwin Cudjoe opened up on the challenge that awaits Hearts of Oak at Holy Stars who are struggling in the league.
“We are very well prepared and you know Basake [Holy Stars] are a good side and they are playing [at] home as well so our mood and everything, we are well motivated,” Godwin Cudjoe told Hearts TV.
“Going to Basake [Holy Stars] is not an easy task, hopefully looking at our environment, the boys are determined and I am telling the [supporters] to keep supporting us and everything will be fine.”
Hearts of Oak have 13 points, same as Samartex and reigning league champions God Stars with Holy Stars languishing at the bottom of the table with two points from seven matches.
