Head coach of Oak, Mas Udi Didi Dramani wants to lift the spirit of his charges ahead of their week 14 Ghana Premier League match at home to Nations FC on Saturday.
The Phobians suffered a 2-0 loss at Karela United in week 13 last weekend at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale and they will look to make amends against Nations whose confidence were boosted with a 2-1 comeback win over Heart of Lions.
Didi Dramani spent some time to share his thoughts on the game that will be played at the Legon Sports Stadium at 4:00 GMT.
“I think first of all is to see to the psyching of the team, to see to it that we are refocusing and resetting our mentality in terms of what is ahead of us in a marathon competition which means that every week is a new event and so it’s just an opportunity to resetting our mentality for what is in front of us,” Didi Dramani told Hearts TV.
“I think that areas where we faltered is very decisive in terms of where we need to make the right decisions, the right move, the right pass and then a better execution and so these areas are areas we keep emphasizing that we need to be very consistent in terms of how we need to do things and be more sustainable.”
Hearts of Oak have recorded five victories, six draws and two losses with 21 points from 13 matches, same as Asante Kotoko and Samartex. In the week 14 opening fixture, Aduana pipped Heart of Lions on Friday to go top of the Ghana Premier League with 27 points.
The Ghana Premier League matchday 14 fixture between Bibiani Gold Stars and Medeama has been postponed following Medeama’s release of five players to the domestic-based Ghana national team for their international friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on December 16.
